Dr. Dwight Disney
Dwight Disney has been the owner of Vaughn Pharmacy since 1988 fulfilling a lifelong dream. He is a key member of the local community here is Powell where he has served on various boards and committees and volunteered his time as a church Deacon. Dwight is married to his high school sweetheart Andrea who co-owns the pharmacy. The couple has 3 children Preston, Alysha, and Allison – who is currently finishing her own Pharmacy degree to carry on the family business. Dwight earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University. Dwight and Andrea also own local construction company Disney Construction.

Jane Ellison is a Tennessee native, born and raised in Athens although she now lives here in Powell with her husband Brett and their two girls Ashley and Olivia. Jane has been with us at Vaughan Pharmacy since 2007. When she is not at work she is a keen follower of UT sports and also enjoys reading and travel. Jane has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University as well as an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology!

Dr. David Kearney
David Kearney is our staff pharmacist here at Vaughn Pharmacy. David has more than 25 years of experience in retail pharmacy and has been with us since 2001. However, we’ve known him a lot longer than that because David has been a part of the local community in Powell since he was just 6 years old. He now lives here in town with his wife Joy and 2 sons, Austin and Sean. When he isn’t at the pharmacy, you will find him in the great outdoors enjoying fishing, hiking and watching sporting events. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Samford University.

Allison Grimes is native to Powell along with her husband Mike Grimes who is also working in the Powell/Karns community as an independent agency owner. Allison is the daughter of Dwight Disney and excited to be back in town working with family. Allison was previously working as a staff pharmacist for a few years in Chattanooga, TN before moving back to Knoxville. She has been with Vaughn Pharmacy since June 2020. She received her Doctorate from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama. When Allison is not at work she enjoys being outdoors with her husband, reading, watching movies, and being with friends.

Dr. Madison Thress
Madison Thress was born and raised in Powell, TN. She is the daughter of Dar and Patti Thress who are the owners of a local garden center in the community. She attended Powell elementary, middle and high school. Madison obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cellular & Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee.
