Set Boundaries

It is vital to keep your work life and personal life separate, but that can be challenging if your work is now happening at home! Setting boundaries can make this separation easier and will improve your mental wellbeing. Here are a few tips for keeping these two parts of your life separate.

  • Maintain regular working hours and stop when those hours are up
  • Try to create a workspace for yourself that can be shut away at the end of the day
  • Get dressed as though you are going to work – don’t be tempted to stay in your PJs

Try to arrange Zoom or Skype chats with colleagues during break time so you can socialize like you would in the break room at work.

When you are at home, you have unlimited access to your kitchen, and it is much easier to have extra coffee breaks, and you may find yourself snacking more throughout the day.
