Avoiding Holiday Blues
We are all trained to think of the holiday season as a wonderful time filled with joy. However, some people often end up feeling a little blue at this time of year and it is completely normal. There are some very common triggers that many people share and some can be avoided in order to keep those blues at bay!
- Don't Over Commit - It's okay to say no. You are not obligated to accept every single party or dinner invite. Say no when you need to take a break.
- Don't Get Into Debt - Spend what you can afford, you don't need to get into debt to show your love.
- Let Go of Unrealistic Expectations - Nobody really has an instagram perfect holiday season. Let go of unrealistic expectations and just enjoy yourself.
- Rest - When you are exhausted it is easy to get emotional over things that really don't matter. So make sure you get plenty of rest - afternoon naps are awesome!
